Undergraduates
There are no formal requirements for applying for the directed reading program. We encourage students from all majors and with all levels of mathematical background to apply. We will do our best to match you with a program that is appropriate for your background.
Expectations: You will be expected to meet at least once a week with your graduate mentor. The project is expected to last the entire semester and you will be meeting until the end of the semester. Spend 2-4 hours between each meeting reading the text on your own. The meeting should consist of you informally presenting on what you have read the previous week and asking questions/discussing any sticking points. At the end of the semester you will be expected to give a short public presentation.
