Professional Resources for Premeds

It's a bit overwhelming the amount of things you have to know and do as a premed: the application process is scary, professors can be hard and unfair, and MCAT prep is expensive. FDA can provide you with necessary information to help you feel a bit better about premed life; from MCAT prep scholarships and discounts, to premed workshops and application breakdowns by seniors, we've got you covered! If you ever need advice or an opinion about professors and classes, feel free to ask our upperclassmen who've been there, done that.

Social

Being a student isn't only about studying - it's about enjoying life at a time where you are young and free from most real-world responsibilities. Austin is a great place to be a student, and we will be taking you to places that will make for some great memories later on. Couple that with family nights, mixers, and other social events and you have a student experience that will keep you balanced amidst all of that schoolwork.

Philanthropy

Service and love of service is such an integral part of being a healthcare provider. FDA was nominated by the community for the Tower award for 2014-2015 for outstanding service to the community. Volunteering is something that we love to do, so come join us and see the impact you can make in the lives of others while learning some life lessons along the way.

Friends and Family for Life

FDA is a tight knit family, and we welcome anyone and everyone with open arms. Even if you're not premed, you are more than welcome to join us; we are a social organization, so if you're in it for the people, that's more than okay. We will have lots of fun together!
