HONORING THE PAST
FORGING THE FUTURE
BUILDING A STRONGER COMMUNITY
Dear UST-ENGG Alumni,
Our Grand Alumni Homecoming (GAH) will be held on Feb 17, 2024, and this marks our Silver Jubilee as graduates. Traditionally, the Silver Jubilarians sponsors the GAH. It is a surreal feeling that 25 years has passed since our graduation!
As we celebrate our Silver Jubilee, I hope that we can all come together to do something to give back to our beloved Alma Mater, more specifically to the Faculty of Engineering. The 2024 GAH Working Group, representatives of each Department, have come up with a plan to raise at least PHP 1M in our hopes to fund one of the Faculty’s project: setting up HyFlex classrooms to be used by current students or the Faculty. These HyFlex classrooms is a multi-media ready classroom to cater to both on-site and online classes simultaneously, an innovative solution that our Faculty has come up with to provide the need for a hybrid solution for our students.
To make it less daunting to raise this PHP 1M pledge by our batch, it will be divided equally among all the six (6) Engineering Departments, that amounts to PHP 170K for each Department. To clarify, the Php 1 million goal will not fund the entire HyFlex Classroom project but just part of it. If we exceed our goal, the closer this project will be in fruition.
We understand that we are all busy with our current careers and life situation, and majority of us do not have the luxury of time and/or energy to execute fund raising activities as we are all scattered across the globe. Therefore, it has been suggested that we can all contribute some amount for us to raise the PHP 170K target of each department.
Thank you for your future contribution and we would greatly appreciate your help passing this message along to our batch mates to help spread the word about our fund-raising efforts. And more importantly, we hope to see you at the Grand Alumni Homecoming to celebrate 25 years of success!
