About Us

The most prestigious events in the United States for Highland Dancing take place at the ScotDance USA National Championships. This prestigious four-day event attracts hundreds of Highland Dancers and their families nationally and internationally to compete in Primary to Premier level events. The weekend typically includes a Premiership Championship, the North American Championship and choreography competitions. Professional development sessions and social events are also usually key to the weekend’s festivities.

The highlight of the Championship weekend is the United States Inter-Regional (USIR) Championship, with the top qualifying dancers in each region competing for the title of US Champion in their respective age groups. Held once a year, the event rotates around the country among six regions.
