WELCOME TO USIMC - United States International Medical Collaborative
USIMC is a social investment program supported by various social investors, academics and independent researchers. Our goal is to leverage everyday low-cost technologies to improve hearing and auditory health across the world - especially for the world's lower income populations.Â
Today's smartphones have enough computing power and audio processing power that it can beat many of the professional grade technologies used for hearing tests and hearning improvements. However these technologies have not been optimized for helping end-users. This is what USIMC plans to do.
USIMC has partnered with one of the biggest government/charity hospitals in the world to conduct hearing tests and software development. We have partnered with various leading technology experts across the world to build a smartphone based hearing test. We are world's first organization to have conducted double-blind testing to compare our hearing test with an expert audiologist. Our tests have been found to be satisfactory for use in various clinical settings, and especially for patients who do not have direct access to trained physicians and labs.
