Innovative, Accessible
With access to scholarly activities, patient safety and quality improvement projects, and clinical research opportunities, fellows have the opportunity to advance their clinical research expertise and incorporate this into clinical practice.
Fellows present locally at Grand Rounds both at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and USF Health Department of Psychiatry. In addition to this, fellows are encouraged to work with faculty, general psychiatry residents, and medical students in preparing a poster, publication, quality improvement project, or patient safety initiative for submission to regional and national medical organizations. In prior years fellows have presented at the Florida Geriatrics Society, the Florida Psychiatric Society, the American Psychiatric Association, the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry.
