We are glad to introduce our topic User Experience Design (UXD). We will explore the importance of user experience design in developing extended reality environments focusing on the future of education in the metaverse. We will conduct an in-depth analysis of UXD elements in virtual reality and augmented reality as well as gamification in those virtual spaces. We will discuss UX design features and elements for successful learning and user-engaging environments. Our goal from this open educational resource is to be able to close the gap between UX design features and education.
"No matter how big the challenges of the present are, the drive for a digital future is bigger than ever, [...]. A flourishing virtual space will pull the physical world, or “meatspace” in classic VR jargon, with it, to the benefit of all."
