Public Inquiry 31/01/2024

The last day of January saw me attending a Public Inquiry in Cambridge to support my new  client. He runs a restricted licence, but in December 2023 he decided he needed help. During December and January, we worked tirelessly on organising his paperwork, his office and preparing for the hearing. 

As always, it's a nerve-racking experience. The business you have put your blood, sweat, tears and cash into could be taken away at the drop of a gavel, and my client was very nervous. In his defence, the charges were all caused by naivety rather than malice, but it goes to show how important it is to know what you're doing in this industry.

Fortunately, he came through it with a short reprieve, the TC saw what she called, "green shoots of optimism", and gave him some time to put things right, but only on the agreement that he keeps my services to help him.
