The University of San Diego’s Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (USD SASE) in collaboration with the Asian Students Association (ASA), presents “Professional Asians in the Workplace.” This professional development event aims to showcase the stories and experiences of Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American (APIDA) professionals in a wide range of career fields, which will provide guidance for our members as they pursue success in their own career endeavors. During this event, there will be an informational interview with a panel of speakers, as well as a networking hour designed to be an opportunity to develop connections between the next generation of professionals and current leaders in our community.

This 40-minute panel interview with a following audience Q&A, will focus on our panelists’ transitions from education to career, different career paths available, and how their heritage and ethnicity influences their work and experiences.
In this portion, we hope to cultivate greater connections for our members in a more intimate space. We aim to create a space for open conversation in order for all to learn from each other’s experiences in the workplace and throughout life.
