Collaborative Duties of ALL Executive Board Members:
Attend all Executive Board and Open Member meetings
Support the growth of all LISSA members and the organization
Plan and host professional, social, and service events
Work with the Multimedia Coordinator to promote events
Attend events by USC's Student Government and/or Leadership and Service Center as required to maintain active organization status
Maintain and update the LISSA GarnetGate site
President:
Supervise and lead all Executive Board and Open Member meetings
Lead professional, social, and service events general meetings
Attend events as required by USC's Student Government and/or Leadership and Service Center if other board members are unable to attend
Check in with individual board members and assigned projects to review their project status and overall performance
Relay the current progress of LISSA to the Faculty Advisor
Work with the Treasurer to accomplish financial requests
Perform other duties assigned by the board
Vice President:
Attend events as required by USC's Student Government and/or Leadership and Service Center if other board members are unable to attend
Reach out to prospective members to promote LISSA and increase membership
Collaborate with Alumni to encourage active participation with current LISSA members and the iSchool
Create and maintain relationships with other organizations and individuals who will help support the growth of the overall organization and LISSA members
Work with the Treasurer to accomplish financial requests
Perform other duties assigned by the board
Treasurer:
Attend SGA treasurer required events
Managing LISSA finances while also relaying that information to the rest of the executive board
The treasurer will be transparent about any funds or financial concerns related to LISSA
If LISSA executive board members decide to require dues, then the treasurer will be in charge of the collection of dues
Work with the rest of the executive board to develop fundraising events
Perform other duties assigned by the board
Secretary:
Maintain all LISSA records and keep them organized on the LISSA Google Drive and GarnetGate
Create all meeting agendas and record meeting minutes
Send meeting agenda to the board prior to each meeting and send meeting minutes following each meeting
Record Zoom video of open meetings and post recording to GarnetGate in a timely manner
Post meeting minutes to GarnetGate in a timely manner
Work to ensure all members are informed of upcoming meetings and events
Perform other duties as assigned by the board
Multimedia Coordinator:
Produce social media promotional campaigns and materials to enhance marketing efforts and recruitment of members
Create marketing materials for LISSA sponsored events
Promote events on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
Work with the rest of the board to ensure clear and accurate communication regarding LISSA events and programming
Perform other duties as assigned by the board
Newsletter Lead:
Manage all duties involved in the creation, design, and distribution of the official LISSA newsletter
Distribute LISSA's newsletter on a monthly basis
Work with the board and LISSA community to generate ideas for content for the newsletter
Work with the board and the LISSA community to writing articles for the newsletter covering the interest areas of the community
Perform other duties as assigned by the board
Regional Coordinators
Manage and work to grow LISSA membership for designated region
Facilitate networking and regional events among members in designated region
Reach out to prospective members and promote LISSA in designated region
Perform other duties as assigned by the board
Member-At-Large:
This role is intended for members who are interested in filling an upcoming officer vacancy and would like to gain experience on the Executive Board to prepare for the duties associated with their prospective officer position (pending the election or appointment process, as dictated by the LISSA constitution and USC's Student Government and/or Leadership and Service Center).
For example, a member interested in being Treasurer would attend board meetings and events to learn procedures and duties from the current Treasurer.
