President:
Support the growth of all LISSA members and the organization.
Attend SGA required events that require the President and/or other board members if they are unable to attend
Work with the Multimedia Coordinator to promote events and give feedback on marketing proposals
Supervise and lead all executive board meetings
Help lead other professional development, social, and membership general meetings
Work with Treasurer with any financial requests
Check-in with individual board members and assigned projects to review their project status and overall performance
Relay the current progress of LISSA to the Faculty Advisor
Perform any other duties assigned by the board
Treasurer:
Attend SGA treasurer required events if able to.
Managing LISSA finances while also relaying that information to the rest of the executive board.
The treasurer will be transparent about any funds or financial concerns related to LISSA.
If LISSA executive board members decide to require dues, then the treasurer will be in charge of the collection of dues.
Work with the rest of the executive board to develop fundraising events.
Perform any other duties assigned by the board
Secretary:
Keep a record of all LISSA business and keep it organized in the google drive folder
Send meeting agenda out to all board members prior to bi-weekly meetings 24 hours in advance
Send meeting minutes of bi-weekly meeting to all board members by the following day
Work with the rest of the board to ensure all members are informed of upcoming meetings and events
Perform any other duties as assigned by the board
Regional Coordinators
Manage membership for designated region
Facilitate networking and regional events among members in designated region
Reach out to prospective members and promote LISSA
Perform any other duties as assigned by the board
Vice President of Membership:
Maintain and update the membership roster on GarnetGate
Run and produce content for the Membership Only emails
Reach out to prospective members and promote LISSA
Host social events for current members to meet each other whether virtual or face-to-face
Collaborate with the Multimedia Coordinator to produce marketing promotions and enhance marketing efforts resulting in recruiting of new members
Reach out to Alumni to notify them of LISSA's current activities and encourage active participation with current LISSA members and the CIC
Perform other duties assigned by the board
Vice President of Professional Development:
Develop professional development events to help empower and support current LISSA members
Work with the Multimedia Coordinator to promote events geared towards Professional Development
Create and maintain relationships with different organizations and individuals who will help support the growth of the overall organization and our members
Be aware of any professional development events for CIC and Graduate Students and other ALA events to notify members
Inform members of internship and job opportunities when available
Perform any other duties assigned by the board
Multimedia Coordinator:
Create marketing materials for LISSA sponsored events
Promote events on social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Work with the rest of the board to ensure clear and accurate communication regarding LISSA events and programming
Assist with the development of engaging and relevant activities and events
Notify membership of any LISSA news via social media channels
Perform any other duties as assigned by the board
Newsletter Lead:
Manage all the duties around the creation and distribution of the official newsletter
Design the newsletter for distribution.
Work with the rest of the board and the LISSA community to generate ideas for content for the newsletter
Work with the rest of the board and the LISSA community to writing articles for the newsletter covering the interest areas of the community
Perform any other duties as assigned by the board
