SDB will provide 3 travel awards of up to $1,000 each for the best undergraduate, graduate student and postdoctoral presentations (oral or poster) to present winning papers at the annual meeting. These prizes are reimbursements of expenses the winners will incur. The postdoctoral winner will automatically be entered into the competitive selection process for a short talk in the Hilde Mangold Postdoctoral Symposium.

Only student and postdoc members who have paid the current year’s dues at the time of the regional meeting registration and abstract submission are eligible . People who join the Society after registration or abstract submission, or after winning the best presentation competition are not eligible for this travel award to the annual meeting. This is a benefit for members in good standing! Membership renewals are usually updated as soon as credit card payment is received.
