To nominate students, please email the SC Midlands Brain Bee Coordinator, Dr. Sarah Tryon, (SCMidlandsBrainBee@gmail.com) with the name(s) of up to two students. Please include the names of the students and high school name. Upon receipt of the nomination, the Coordinator will send you a link to the registration form and the student can register for the Midlands Brain Bee through the link provided.
Students will be registered on a first come, first served basis, so you are encouraged to nominate your students as early as possible. Registration will close February 29th, 2020, or when capacity is reached (whichever is first).
Please note that student participants must be nominated by a teacher or an administrator. Students may not nominate themselves.
When: March 21st, 2020 from 10 am - 3 pm
Where: UofSC School of Medicine
Eligibility: South Carolina high school students from ages 13 - 19 are eligible to compete. Competitors can only compete in one regional Brain Bee per year and can only participate in the National and International Brain Bee once.
Format: Written exam followed by a live Q&A Round
Preparation: All questions will come from the Brain Facts Book which can be found on our study prep page.
