This page will provide information on all current courses that the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Centre and School possesses. It will also describe them in depth explaining how to be recommended into the courses, what the courses are about, and what candidates receive during the course.

RECOMMENDATION PROCESS
HOW TO BE ENROLLED INTO THESE COURSES:
To be enrolled in one of the courses listed below, you must first meet ALL the requirements listed under each of the course descriptions. Once done, you must be recommended by your direct superior. In terms of which superior, it will vary depending on your current rank. Use the chart below to help:
Enlisted Candidates: / Enlisted Recommender:
E7 & Below --> First E8 or Senior Enlisted in their Chain of Command or higher. (Company Staff).
E8 --> First E9A or Senior Enlisted in their Chain of Command or higher.
E9A --> First E9B or Senior Enlisted in their Chain of Command or higher.
Divisional CSM --> Command Level CSM or SMA+.
Command CSM --> SMA or higher.
Officer Candidates: / Officer Recommender:
O1-O2 --> Company Headquarters in their Chain of Command or higher.
O3-O4 --> Battalion/Brigade Headquarters in their Chain of Command or higher.
O5-O6 --> Regimental/Division Headquarters in their Chain of Command or higher.
O7-O8 --> Command Headquarters in their Chain of Command or higher.
O9-O10 -->Army Staff or higher.
If the recommender you contacted hasn't recommended you in 24 hours, or if they are on Leave of Absence, you may contact a higher superior. Do note that enlisted may only recommend enlisted, and officers may only recommend officers, meaning an O4 cannot recommend an E8 for a course.

COURSE #1: MILITARY FREEFALL COURSE (MFFC)

The Military Freefall Course (MFFC or MFFBC for short) is a specialized training program designed for military personnel who are above the rank of E4, Corporal and who need to perform parachute jumps at high altitudes for training purposes. The course is offered and currently operated by the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. During the MFFC, participants learn the skills necessary to perform parachute jumps from altitudes of up to 35,000 feet (10,600 meters). The course simply includes classroom instruction, and skydiving operations in complete darkness. Candidates are typically required to complete a certain number of jumps in order to graduate from the course. Those who graduate from this course will be given an achievement, that being the Military Freefall Badge, which proves that they are an expert at high-altitude jumps. The MFFC is considered to be one of the most challenging and demanding training programs in the army. Overall, the Military Freefall Course is a rigorous and intense training program that requires a high level of dedication, skill, and discipline from its participants.
COURSE #2: PATHFINDER BADGE COURSE (PFBC)

The Pathfinder Badge (PFB for short) is a military badge of the United States Army that is awarded to soldiers who have completed training and demonstrated proficiency in pathfinding operations. The badge was first established during World War II and has since become a symbol of the Army's expertise in airborne and air assault operations. Pathfinders are trained to provide navigational and tactical support to airborne and air assault operations. They are responsible for locating and marking drop zones, providing guidance to aircraft, and conducting reconnaissance and surveillance missions by using multiple scouting tactics. To earn the Pathfinder Badge, soldiers must complete a rigorous training program that covers a wide range of skills, including advanced land navigation, helicopter operations, and advanced scouting tactics. The training program is called the Pathfinder Badge Course (PFBC for short), and is currently operated by the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.
COURSE #3: EXPERT INFANTRYMAN BADGE QUALIFICATION COURSE (EIBQC)

The Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB for short) is a military badge of the United States Army that is awarded to infantrymen who pass a rigorous test of their skills in infantry tactics and weapons. It was first established in 1944 during World War II, and has since become a symbol of the infantryman's expertise in combat. To earn the badge, soldiers must complete a series of tests that cover a wide range of infantry skills, including weapons proficiency, map reading, land navigation, first aid, and combat operations. All these tests are currently obtained by the Expert Infantryman Badge Qualification Course (EIBQC for short), which is currently under the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. The EIB is awarded to soldiers who have demonstrated exceptional skill and expertise in their field, and it signifies a level of proficiency that is only achieved by a small percentage of infantry soldiers.
COURSE #4: RANGER SCHOOL COURSE (RSC)

The Ranger School Course (RS or RSC for short) is a premier leadership course that provides military personnel with advanced leadership training, and It is currently operated by the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. The Ranger School Course is open to all commands, regiments, corps, and/or divisions of the United States Army, however only personnel with the rank of E4, Corporal and above may be recommended for the Ranger School Course. Ranger School is a voluntary one-session, four-phase course. This course is specifically designed to test all personnel on their leadership skills, and anyone who passes this course will be a certified leader meaning that they will be able to handle operations efficiently. Ranger School has a reputation for being one of the most challenging courses in the army. Those who successfully complete the course earn the coveted Ranger Tab, which is worn on their uniform as a symbol of their achievement. The Ranger Tab is recognized as a mark of excellence throughout the military, and many units consider it a prerequisite for leadership roles. Overall, Ranger School is a rigorous and demanding course that provides military personnel with advanced training in leadership, tactics, and physical fitness. It is a significant achievement for those who complete the course, and it prepares them for leadership roles in some of the most challenging situations possible.
COURSE #5: MARKSMANSHIP QUALIFICATION COURSE (MQC)

The Marksman Qualification Course is comprised of two sub-courses. The entry level course is the Sharpshooter Course, those who pass this course will be eligible to move on to the Expert Course. Once reaching the course they must pass 3 times every 2 weeks. Any failure in the Expert Course will result in the individual being deadlocked to the Sharpshooter Badge forever. The U.S. Army Marksmanship Qualification Course equips soldiers with critical firearms skills through a well-culminated program. Divided into three phases, it starts with fundamental weapon handling and safety procedures, progresses to practicing marksmanship across distances and positions, and culminates in a qualification test with badge awards (Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert) based on hit quotas. This essential training ensures soldier proficiency in weapon use and target accuracy for combat readiness.
COURSE #6: EXPERT FIELD MEDICAL BADGE COURSE (EFMB)

The Expert Field Medical Badge Course is an intense training program designed to test and refine the combat medical skills of U.S. Army medical personnel. Nicknamed the "EFMB," it's the non-combat equivalent of the Combat Medical Badge and pushes soldiers to their physical and mental limits through a grueling week of evaluations. The Expert Field Medical Badge is given to those who successfully complete the Expert Field Medical Badge Course. Those who complete the course will be specialized in medical knowledge that will assist them throughout their career.
COURSE #7: JOHN F. KENNEDY CANDIDATE SCHOOL (JFKCS)

The John F. Kennedy Candidate School (JFKCS) is specifically designed to educate newly recruited personnel currently in training. The curriculum focuses on three key areas: Advanced Special Operations Course (ASOC), the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (JFKSWCS), and the art of instructing. ASOC provides candidates with advanced knowledge in special operations tactics and strategies, preparing them for the challenges of modern warfare. JFKSWCS broadens candidates' understanding by delving into the historical, strategic, and operational aspects of special warfare. A unique aspect of JFKCS is its emphasis on instructing. Candidates not only receive information but also undergo training to become effective instructors, ensuring they can pass on their knowledge within the military community. Rigorous testing validates the proficiency of candidates in ASOC, their grasp of JFKSWCS principles, and their ability to instruct, ensuring they graduate well-prepared for their military roles.
