My name is MSgt Derick Faulkenberry. I am the Air Force recruiter for Franklin and Gasconade Counties based out of Washington, MO. I am originally from Stone Mountain, Georgia and joined the Air Force in 2003. I enjoy bowling, woodworking and spending time with my wife and 4 kids. Prior to becoming a recruiter, I worked as a Ground Radar Systems technician. I’ve had the opportunity to work on multiple different systems including combat & warning systems, Air Traffic Control systems and weather radar systems. This allowed me to work with a number of agencies including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Services. I have had a great career with the Air Force and had the opportunity to travel the world, experience different cultures, live in Europe for several years and create a network of friends all across the globe. I am grateful that the Air Force has been able to take this timid, shy country boy and turn him into a confident, independent and successful Airman.
