Life can feel overwhelming at times. Counselling provides a safe and supportive space to understand what you're experiencing, develop practical tools and move forward with greater confidence.
At U-R-YOUnique Counselling, support is personalized because no two people — or their journeys — are exactly alike.
Hi, I'm Kursty Castro, a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC, certified BC teacher, wife and mother of five. I completed my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2020 and have experience supporting children and families as a school counsellor in the Nanaimo area.
My approach is warm, practical and person-centred. Every client is unique, so counselling is tailored to your individual needs, challenges and goals.
Depending on your needs, sessions may draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systems Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches. Christian counselling, including Scripture and prayer, is also available for clients who would like faith incorporated into their sessions.
I look forward to walking alongside you in the coming months

“Kursty has an ability to connect with our family and offer a supportive role, with a kind hand and exceptional knowledge of her field. She helped bring safety and comfort during our interactions and helped us develop strategies to support our family beyond our time with her.”
