Jason H. Poff is the President and Founder of Ursus Financial Group, LLC.  Jason has more than two decades of experience helping clients achieve lasting financial success. Since beginning his career in 1999, Jason has dedicated his life to guiding individuals, families, and businesses toward building, protecting, and transferring wealth with clarity and confidence.

A graduate of Baylor University, Jason earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, providing a strong academic foundation for his career in financial strategy and investment management. Over the years, he has held leadership roles at major banks, investment firms, mutual fund companies, and regional financial institutions, gaining broad insight into every facet of wealth management and business succession planning.

With this experience, Jason expanded his focus to include precious metals investing, recognizing the importance of physical gold and silver as essential tools for portfolio diversification, inflation protection, and tax-efficient wealth preservation. Under his leadership, Ursus Financial Group has become a trusted name in the precious metals industry, helping clients and financial professionals nationwide integrate tangible assets into their broader financial strategies.

In 2016, Jason founded Ursus Financial Group, LLC to serve the people of Houston, greater Texas, and clients across the United States. Today, the firm combines traditional wealth-management principles with cutting-edge gold and silver investment solutions, offering both individuals and institutions the expertise needed to navigate changing markets with confidence.

Outside the office, Jason enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening, as well as cheering for the Texans, Rockets, Astros, and his beloved Baylor Bears. He lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Heather, and their dog, Sasha.

 Sharon Vossen serves as the Director of Operations at Ursus Financial Group, LLC, where she oversees the firm’s daily operations, communications, and administrative functions. Since joining Ursus in 2018, Sharon has played a pivotal role in optimizing internal processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring that the firm continues to deliver an exceptional client experience.

With an extensive background in project management and process improvement, Sharon brings a disciplined, solutions-oriented approach to every facet of the organization. Her leadership keeps the firm’s operations running seamlessly — from managing support staff to coordinating strategic initiatives that drive growth. 

Before joining Ursus Financial Group, Sharon held diverse roles across the financial services, healthcare, and government contracting industries, as well as contributed to various nonprofit organizations through volunteer work. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Oklahoma State University, where she developed the strong analytical and communication skills that continue to define her career.

A passionate Houston Astros fan, Sharon enjoys spending her free time reading, cooking, and tending to her garden. With her three children now grown, she and her husband, Bart, enjoy a slower pace of life together while staying active in their community.
