Get Involved
Over the next 18 months we’ll launch a programme of events. It’s an active community that not only debates but evolves and tests new forms of practice. Our process follows a continuous loop of creating, testing, applying, refining and learning. We are kicking off with questions including:
How can a common urban design language enable trust to respond to local social challenges?
How can the fabric of our cities physically reflect the stories of those who occupy them?
How can we elevate individual memories and aspirations in our city to give greater meaning and more reflective identity? We’re looking for creative thinkers and doers from all disciplines to share their ways of thinking and working to explore and tackle each theme.
Stage 1 — Connect — gathering people, places, processes
Stage 2 — Shape — drafting a language
Stage 3 — Prototype — testing plotlines and processes
Stage 4 — Share — engaging a broader audience
We are currently looking for people to become a part of this network and help curate a future programme. Being a part of Urban Lexicons gives you the chance to:
Connect with creative practitioners to build interdisciplinary teams working together on place
Debate place ideas, findings, and challenges with a wider network
Attend workshops organised by Urban Lexicons, or input your own
Discuss, develop and try out ideas in a lab-like safe space
If you're interested in becoming a part of the Urban Lexicons community, want to collaborate or keep up to date on the project e-mail us at:
