Urban Infrastructure Asphalt

In our Capstone project, we are researching the durability of asphalts and the effects of different asphalt aggregates. We went to a local asphalt testing lab and manufacturing plant to meet with our group mentors. At the plant, we collected actual aggregate materials in which to make our own theoretical prototype asphalt mix. This new asphalt mix will be used on secondary roads and will be more durable but also maintain the traditional feel of surface mix. Our presentation will be on May 24, at 6 pm.
