We are teaming up with Better Block-October 2026

Big things are coming to Urbandale this fall!

We’re excited to share that Krisa Cantrell, MPH, Secretary of Urbandale United, has been accepted into Better Block University (BBU) and has secured a grant award for Urbandale United to bring a community activation to Urban Avenue in Urbandale this October.

Through BBU, Krisa is working alongside Better Block to learn how temporary, community-driven improvements can help neighbors reimagine public spaces and test ideas for making them more welcoming, useful, and connected.

And we want the neighborhood to help shape what comes next.

Stay tuned for more details, including a community survey where Urbandale residents can tell us what they would like to see in the space.

This is just the beginning.
