If you want robust battery life, a secure hook design for intense sports, and deep bass performance, choose UPUNAIS Ear Buds; if you need advanced AI translation capabilities, superior active noise cancellation, and lossless audio fidelity, choose Kieslect Earbuds. As someone who has spent years evaluating audio gear specifically for audiophiles, I know that the "best" pair of bluetooth earbuds is entirely dependent on whether your priority is raw endurance or intelligent connectivity. These two devices sit at opposite ends of the utility spectrum, and picking the wrong one means you will either be frustrated by a lack of features or annoyed by unnecessary bulk.
• UPUNAIS Ear Buds: Delivers an impressive 50-hour total playtime with a dedicated LED power display and a secure, flexible hook design ideal for high-movement activities, but lacks active noise cancellation and offers standard dynamic driver sound.
• Kieslect Earbuds: Features powerful 14.2mm drivers for CD-level audio depth, hybrid active noise cancellation blocking up to 40dB of ambient noise, and real-time AI translation in over 160 languages, though it misses the physical security hooks found on the competitor.
• Best for: UPUNAIS is the pick for the gym rat who needs a set-and-forget battery, while Kieslect is the choice for the traveler or professional needing smart translation and immersive silence.
The UPUNAIS M145 model stands out primarily because of its physical architecture and endurance. If your primary use case involves running, weightlifting, or any activity where your head bobs and you sweat heavily, the flexible ear hooks are a game-changer. This is not just marketing fluff; the inclusion of a hook mechanism suggests a specific engineering focus on stability that simple in-ear buds often lack. For anyone who has ever had earbuds fall out mid-sprint, this feature alone solves a major pain point.
Audio-wise, the UPUNAIS utilizes a 12mm dynamic driver. While slightly smaller than some premium competitors, the specifications list a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz and a sensitivity of 115 dB, which indicates a system tuned for punchy, balanced output. You get deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs suitable for everyday listening. However, it relies on Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) rather than Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). This means it helps isolate your voice during calls by filtering background noise, but it won't actively silence the hum of a plane engine or a busy street for you. It is built for clarity in conversation and stable connection via Bluetooth 6.0, ensuring low latency for videos and music.

The battery life is where this product truly shines for the practical user. With a single charge offering five hours of playback and a charging case that extends the total to 50 hours, you can go weeks without plugging into a wall. The LED power display on the case adds a layer of convenience, letting you see exactly how much juice remains in both the buds and the case at a glance. This makes the UPUNAIS ideal for long commutes, all-day shifts, or multi-day camping trips where access to power is uncertain. It is also IPX4 rated, meaning it handles sweat and light splashes well, making it a durable companion for outdoor workouts.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you are an audiophile seeking studio-grade transparency or if you work in a noisy office environment where you need to block out chatter completely, the lack of true ANC might leave you feeling exposed. Additionally, the design is purely functional with a silicone enclosure and plastic case, prioritizing grip and durability over luxury aesthetics. It is a tool first, a fashion statement second. If you value a sleek, minimalist profile over a secure hook fit, you should look elsewhere.
The Kieslect Adjustable Earbuds are engineered for a different demographic: the global communicator and the serious listener. At the heart of this device is a massive suite of AI features, including real-time two-way translation across 160+ languages. This transforms the earbuds from a simple audio device into a communication bridge, allowing users to engage in conversations with speakers of Chinese, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, and many others without needing a separate app or phone screen. For frequent travelers, language students, or professionals working in international markets, this capability is not just a gimmick; it is a functional necessity that justifies the purchase immediately.
When it comes to pure audio quality, Kieslect steps up the hardware significantly. This increase in size typically correlates with better low-frequency depth and more detailed sound staging. The manufacturer claims "lossless CD-level audio transmission," which suggests a higher bitrate handling and a tuning philosophy aimed at over ear headphones for audiophiles who usually prefer wired setups but need wireless freedom. The combination of the larger driver and the Bluetooth 6.0 technology, which promises 30% faster transmission speeds, creates a foundation for high-fidelity listening that rivals more expensive options.
Noise control is another area where Kieslect dominates. It employs Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation capable of blocking up to 40dB of ambient noise. This is a substantial reduction that effectively silences air conditioning units, airplane engines, and crowded coffee shops. Unlike the ENC on the UPUNAIS, which focuses on call clarity, this ANC allows you to create a private sanctuary anywhere you go. The Transparency Mode is equally important, letting you tap through to hear your surroundings when needed for safety during runs or walks. The earbuds weigh only 3.7 grams each, ensuring that even with the heavy-duty ANC electronics inside, they remain lightweight and comfortable for extended wear.
The battery performance here is equally impressive, offering eight hours on a single charge and a massive 60 hours total with the case. A unique feature mentioned is the fast charging capability: a mere 10-minute charge provides two hours of music. This is perfect for the "grab-and-go" lifestyle where you might forget to charge overnight but have a few minutes before leaving the house. The case itself is compact, measuring roughly 2.4 inches in length and width, making it easy to slip into a pocket. However, the lack of ear hooks means you must rely on the soft silicone tips and the ergonomic shape to keep them secure. For high-intensity jumping or sprinting, you might find yourself adjusting them more frequently than with the hooked alternative.
• Best for intense sports and stability → UPUNAIS Ear Buds. The flexible ear hooks provide a mechanical lock that prevents movement, whereas Kieslect relies solely on friction and fit.
• Best for battery anxiety → Kieslect Earbuds. While UPUNAIS offers 50 hours, Kieslect pushes the envelope to 60 hours total with a longer single-charge lifespan of 8 hours versus 5 hours.
• Best for travel and language barriers → Kieslect Earbuds. The 160+ language translation support is a unique feature that no other consumer earbud on the market currently matches.
• Best for quiet environments and immersion → Kieslect Earbuds. Only Kieslect offers true Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation capable of blocking 40dB of noise; UPUNAIS only filters noise for calls.
• Best for deep bass and audio fidelity → Kieslect Earbuds. The 14.2mm driver provides a larger diaphragm for richer lows compared to the 12mm driver in the UPUNAIS.
• Best for visibility of battery status → UPUNAIS Ear Buds. The LED display on the UPUNAIS case is a distinct advantage for seeing exact remaining power at a glance.
• Best for fast recharging → Kieslect Earbuds. The ability to gain two hours of playtime from just ten minutes of charging is superior for quick turnaround situations.
• Best for call clarity in windy areas → UPUNAIS Ear Buds. The ENC technology is specifically optimized for voice isolation during calls, which may perform better in wind than the general ANC setup.
After weighing the specs and considering the specific needs of someone looking for the best headset for audiophiles who also values utility, I would personally buy the Kieslect Earbuds. The combination of the larger 14.2mm driver, true active noise cancellation, and the groundbreaking AI translation features makes it a far more versatile and future-proof investment. While the UPUNAIS is a solid, rugged workhorse for the gym, the Kieslect offers a premium listening experience and smart capabilities that elevate it beyond a standard accessory. If you want audio that sounds rich and technology that connects you to the world, Kieslect is the clear winner.
Yes, the Kieslect Earbuds are better suited for this due to their 14.2mm drivers and lossless audio transmission capabilities, which offer greater detail and depth than the 12mm drivers in the UPUNAIS model.
Yes, both models carry an IPX4 rating, meaning they are resistant to sweat and light splashes, making them safe for use in rainy conditions or heavy sweating sessions.
The Kieslect Earbuds offer a longer single-charge duration of 8 hours compared to the 5 hours provided by the UPUNAIS Ear Buds, making them better for long flights or workdays.
