About Us

Co-founded in spring of 2025 by Josh Borges & Sam Italiano, the goal is to uplift and celebrate tap dance in the Upstate. After meeting at an audition, they articulated the need for community through tap dance. National Tap Dance Day plans were already underway and with that the Upstate Tap Connection was formed. 

Currently our focus areas are: Connection, Education, History, Enthusiasm, and Networking. We accomplish this through community events, classes, communication, and hosting a calendar of all tap dance events in the area.
