If I am bringing a child under the age of 16, do I need to have a fishing license for the child?
No. If the child is under the age of 16, there is no license required. Anyone age 16 or older is required to have a valid NYS fishing license with them the day of the charter.
Do I need to bring my fishing license with me?
Yes.
Do I need a fishing license to fish with a guide service?
Yes
When Upstate Anglers Guide Service contacts you about your scheduled charter, arrangements will be made.
Upstate Anglers Guide Service provides all baits and lures but you are more than welcome to bring your own gear.
No problem! We welcome experienced anglers, first-timers and everyone in-between. We love what we do and are always happy to share our knowledge and skills.
If Upstate Anglers Gude Service Cancels a trip due to weather or a unforseen reason, a full refund will be provided and we will do everything we can to reschedule at your convenience.
We at Upstate Anglers Guide service like to practice catch and release. With that being said there is nothing wrong with keeping a few fish. If you plan to keep a few, remember to bring a cooler to have in your vehicle.
Children under the age of 12 are required to wear a USCG approved life jacket that will be provided. Adult life jackets will also be on board.
2 anglers plus the guide is ideal. Under certain circumstances we could do 3 anglers at a extra charge of $50.00.
No deposit is required at this time. We operate on good faith and a handshake.
