Kagan is seen as the classical grumpy character with a good heart that he rather keeps hidden. He keeps his thoughts mostly to himself, as long as no one asks him about them. He carries a part of self justice in himself in which he'd be the one stepping in, if there'd be any trouble around. If Kagan gets stressed, he tends to act impulsive which leads to his fighting style that alters with his emotions. 

Kagan rather not use his powers an loves listening to music. He has a passionate for music although he can't create any for himself, he adores Tiara playing the guitar. 

Tiara gets to see Kagan's softer more frequently than any other. And yes, he can smile.

• Swordsmen: Kagan can use a sword with ease, making it his most effective weapon.

• Lumen Arcana:  In Kagan lies  unique powers that he is capable of using once he enters the state of Lumen Arcana. In this state his appearance slightly changes as  cryptic signs appear on his body and a visible flow of energy exits his body. In this state  Kagan experiences major improvements to his senses. This improvement also applies to his physical strength.

• Signature Weapon: Kagan is capable of summoning a signature sword. Not only is the sword sharp enough to slice trough bones with ease, it also functions as a spear. When attempting to throw the sword, it's body changes to be most optional for throwing. On throw, the spear releases all its energy, traveling like a lightning bolt before it creates an shock wave upon hit.

• Sharing is caring!: Kagan is capable of releasing is electric energy to another body upon touch. Doing so he can decide if the electricity flows in direct current or alternating current. When aiming to release alternating current, he has to use both hands to do so. 
  
  

• The first concept of Kagan was created due to an issue Ellie had with Firo's old design when he was working on the DayDream story. Kagan carried the name of Firo for a short time before he became his own character.

• In the early stages of UpsideDown, Ky helped Ellie designing Kagan what lead to the current desing choice.
