Our Story
Everything began in 2017, with the need of more female representation within the special projects of the Mechanical Engineering Department of UPRM. A subgroup within the Association of Females in Mechanical Engineering (AFIM) established a new competition team where inclusion and diversity would be at the forefront. The International Roboboat Competition hosted by RoboNation was chosen because of the technical challenge it represented and the UPRM Roboboat Team was born.

Responsible for designing the physical structure of the boat, as well as ensuring that it is functional and durable.
Responsible for the design and manufacture of mechatronic systems to address task-oriented challenges.Â
Responsible for creating the systems that provide, distribute and manage the energy needed for the boat to operate.
Responsible for the development of the boat's control, navigation, data analysis and communication systems.
In charge of the administrative part, they manage budgets and acquire resources for the team.
