UpRight (“we,” “us,” or “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our posture-improvement app on iOS, watchOS, and related widgets.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 WORKOUT & HEALTH DATA

• Workout Data: daily workout completions, streak counts, and exercise duration

• Posture Tracking: motion data from AirPods Pro (when enabled) – pitch, roll, and yaw

• HealthKit Data: workout sessions written to Apple Health (only with your permission)

1.2 APP USAGE DATA

• Settings & Preferences: reminder schedules, notification preferences, selected workout duration

• Screen Time Data: apps selected for blocking during workouts (stored as anonymous tokens)

• Widget Interactions: widget taps and workout starts from the home screen

1.3 SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION

• Purchase Data: subscription status, transaction receipts, renewal dates

• Payment Information: processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

1. Track your posture-improvement progress and workout streaks

2. Send local workout reminders and notifications

3. Share data between the app and its widgets on your device

4. Block distracting apps during workouts (when enabled)

5. Validate your subscription and unlock premium features

3. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

3.1 LOCAL STORAGE ONLY

• All data is stored locally on your device; nothing is sent to external servers

• Workout data is saved in the app’s secure container

• Settings are stored in UserDefaults

• Widget data is shared via App Groups (on-device only)

3.2 SECURITY MEASURES

• iOS sandboxing protects your data

• Subscription validation uses Apple’s secure StoreKit

• No network communication beyond Apple services

• AirPods motion data is processed entirely on-device

4. INFORMATION SHARING

We do not collect, store, or share your personal information with third parties. Sharing is limited to:

4.1 APPLE SERVICES ONLY

• StoreKit: subscription management and validation

• HealthKit: saving workouts (only with your permission)

• iCloud: syncing subscription status across your devices

4.2 LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

We may disclose information if required by law, although we have no user data to provide because everything is stored locally on your device.

5. YOUR PRIVACY CONTROLS

5.1 PERMISSIONS YOU CONTROL

• AirPods Motion: enable or disable posture tracking at any time

• Notifications: customize or turn off workout reminders

• HealthKit: choose whether to save workouts to Apple Health

• Screen Time: grant or revoke app-blocking permissions

5.2 DATA MANAGEMENT

• All your data is stored locally on your device

• Delete all data by uninstalling the app

• Reset streak data in the app’s Settings

6. DATA RETENTION

• Local Data: retained only while the app is installed

• Uninstall: all data is deleted immediately when you remove the app

• No Server Data: we do not store any of your data on external servers

7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

UpRight is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. The app’s Screen Time features use Apple’s parental-control frameworks but are designed for individual use.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Updates will be posted within the app along with the new effective date.
