This website is an informal repository for information about climbing routes and areas in KZN and adjacent provinces.
This is not meant to be in any way exhaustive (or tidy). It simply tries to provide access to all those new route descriptions that would otherwise be scattered around, as well as to guide books that are out of print but still provide useful information. The documentation provided here complements (and sometimes overlaps with) what is reported on printed guidebooks (listed at the bottom of this page).
Be aware that the information provided here might be erroneous/incomplete and comes with absolutely no warranty. The same applies to fixed gear on routes. Bolts can fail, rock can break, climbing is dangerous: it's on you to learn how to do it safely.
Do not reproduce, modify, or use the information provided here for profit or commercial use without the permission of those who compiled each RD (usually named on each file, unless they chose to remain anonymous).
Enjoy!

Many thanks to everyone who contributed RDs to this repository: particularly to Gavin Peckham, Gerald Camp, Bruce Sobey, and Hallam Payne for compiling and curating most of the information provided here for KZN crags and Eagle Mountain. Thanks to Hallam for coming up with the name "Upphucktery" :-)
