Here at the Upper Room we aspire to give glory to God and train the next generation of dancers.
Our hardworking teachers strive to show our students an example of God's love while instructing them in the art of dance to better perfect each one's technique.
In each class we:
Begin with a short devotion, to focus our attention on God.
Carefully select music.
Uphold modesty.
Challenge our students to come to class prepared and ready to work, with mutual respect towards teachers and fellow students.
Use our talents as a platform to be a blessing to the community; to encourage others to find Hope and Faith in Christ.

Students have the opportunity to perform in two yearly shows: the winter tea and the summer recital. However, students are not required to participate in the tea or recital to be enrolled in a class.
The winter tea is usually performed on a Saturday afternoon in January. Tables are set up around the "stage" area where the audience can sit and enjoy tea and desserts while watching the dancers perform. Classes will begin working on their dances mid-fall. Dancers will wear their typical class attire or as specified by their teacher.
The summer recital is performed twice in one weekend, one show on Friday night and another on Saturday afternoon. The recital typically falls the weekend after Father's Day weekend in late June. The recital is performed in the auditorium of Wheaton Academy. Classes will begin working on their dances for the recital in early spring. There is no cost to participate in the recital but there is a fee for costumes.
Our studio is listed in the DA:NCE Awareness Healthy Dance Directory, promoting safe, age-appropriate choreography and costumes for young dancers.
