2017 PumpkinHead Ski was a Smashing Success

WOW - what a GREAT turnout at the UCSC this year. We had the perfect weather and more than two dozen people stop by the club for the 2017 PunkinHead Ski! Thanks to all for making this such a great day. Kyle Bell - thank you for aerial drone videos! This is the first time, I think, that we've had a PHS event captured from the sky!! You should seriously consider selling your services for parties. Friends - if you have and event and want to hire Kyle; let me know and I'll send you his number! Congratulations to all the first time pumpkin head skiers (Tommy, Norman, Jack, Brendan). That took some guts to ski with a pumpkin on your head. You have a golden ticket to come ski it up again without the smell of pumpkin guts and 58 degree water! ..Hats off again to the pro's - Rob, Luke, Justin, Jacob, Robin, George. Well Done.

Jacob - I must say, that it was very painful, on several levels, to watch you ski in a speedo!

Bruce and Chuck, thank you for all the time in the boat to provide safe driving and a careful eye on the skiers. 100% soft starts and happy landings all all round! .. and sorry you had to pull for that punkinhead speedo!

George and Robin - thank you for keeping your boat in tip top share and late in the water to pull the skiers.

Brian - you are again the chili king. Your honor is untarnished! We had three awesome entries this year and it was a very close single vote that took home the bragging rights. Robin/Matt - Next year...
