To establish a local chapter of the Auxiliary, the local UPMA  Chapter board must first vote and approve having a state chapter. Once the Local Chapter Board approves the establishment of a Chapter Auxiliary, you will need to create by-laws modeled after the National Auxiliary by-laws (a template may be requested using the link above) and have those by-laws approved by your local UPMA Chapter board. Once this is done you can elect a chapter auxiliary board, the upcoming  Chapter convention would be a great time to do this. Once this is done, your Chapter Auxiliary will be able to collect membership as a state chapter using the National Auxiliary Membership form.  All members registered through the chapter auxiliary are also part of the National Auxiliary.  The National by-laws have the membership dues as $10 per year for primary members and $5 for an additional family member(s).  All dues come through the National Auxiliary. Of these dues, a portion is returned to each Local chapter.
