UPM Hackers is a student-run tech organization committed to bridge the gap between education and industry. Our club is a platform to learn about emerging technologies, connect with relevant professionals and organizations, and prepare oneself for launching a successful career in the industry.
Want to help us in spreading tech? We want you!
Improve UPM students' tech literacy
Improve UPM students' employability
Increase students' awareness towards hackathons, tech trends and career planning
Our long term goal is to build a healthy community of tech enthusiasts in UPM. We aim to educate the UPM community on the latest technology trends, expose them to hackathons, and provide career planning to improve students' employability. We want to facilitate recruiting opportunities and foster social and professional networking within UPM and beyond.
During the semester, our primary events include
Hands-on coding workshops that cover a range of technical topics, and are aimed at introducing technologies to those who have no prior knowledge.
Career talks from UPM alumni, leaders, and captains from the tech industry to motivate UPM students.
Code jam/Study jam that include one or two technical talks, sometimes followed by a hacking session.
Internal hackathon to stimulate the creative juices of students and foster problem-solving and risk-taking skills.
Networking events to connect a community of peers who have a shared passion.
