My name is Phill, and I'm a very proud husband and Dad to an amazing daughter. I'm an engineer by trade, and I've progressed into the world of training within my current work role, which stemmed from my previous passion for being a watersports instructor. Mountain biking is and always has been, a massive part of my life ever since I started racing the infamous Klein Attitude in 1990, to which my channel art pays homage to its iconic colour scheme! During this time, I've experienced so many amazing locations, and I've picked up some great skills, tips and knowledge which has taught me that riding my bike in the great outdoors vastly helps my mental health and overall quality of life, all of which I aim to share it through my YouTube channel which I started in Jan 2020.Â
As my channel name suggests, l love the challenge of a good techy climb, as I always get the prize of the downhill at the top! However, I do get a huge buzz from all kinds of riding, from training and shredding my local trails of Friston forest to riding everything that the beautiful country of Wales has to offer, like Dyfi bike park and big mountain days like Snowdon and Cadair Idris. The benefits I've gained from this incredible sport have massively influenced both my physical and mental health in ways I didn't foresee. Â
I've ridden many incredible bikes over the years, and I'm extremely lucky to now own my dream bike build: the ATHERTON BIKES AM170. For filming, I use the GoPro HERO 9 BLACK + iPhone 13PRO with many different accessories that I chose after plenty of research and want to pass on my recommendations to you.
