Interested in getting more involved?

Become a VSA Intern! Apply to be a General Exec Intern or an Intern for the Media Team. You'll have the opportunity to shadow board members, observe their responsibilities, and gain valuable experience working on a team. Although you'll be collaborating with every exec member, please review our board responsibilities and indicate on the application form which roles you're most interested in.

The roles and responsibilities are highlighted below:

Co-Directors

Overseeing the executive board in addition to planning, organizing, and presiding over all activities and events of VSA
Managing the ASUO-allocated budget to ensure funds are being used effectively and in alignment with VSA’s mission statement
Delegating work duties appropriately and in a timely manner
Assessing the performance of executive officers and keeping the executive team accountable for their outlined work duties
Proctoring general meetings by focusing on member retention, education, and outreach to international and domestic students
Represent UOVSA as a member of the NWVSA Intercollegiate Council

Internal Affairs

Keeping records of all financial transactions
Write purchase orders / reimbursement forms
Finding sponsors within the UO departments and the Eugene community
Assuming duties of fundraising

Public Relations

Managing all social media platforms, which include but are not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok
Notifying members in advance of:
- Meeting time and location
- Upcoming events

Programs Coordinator

Assuming all duties of scheduling and procedures in setting up events and activities
Posting to Engage all events a week or more prior to the event date
Anh Chi Em Program
- Facilitating the application and selection process for all potential participants

Media cHAIR

Maintaining records of events and activities of VSA (photography, website, photo album, instagram)
Designing visual content to promote events programs to increase VSA’s visibility
Closely corresponding with the Public Relations Coordinator for content coherence and effective time management
Directing and delegating tasks to the Media Team as needed
