uOttawa athletes are grateful for the dedicated support of local ski community volunteers and our volunteer coaches for their help in coaching and coordinating. We are grateful to the team supporters and sponsors listed below,

We've very happy to have xact nutrition as our nutrition sponsor! Their products not only taste fantastic, but are in line with evidence-based sports nutrition practices (you won't find any keto bars here!). Our head coach knows a thing or 2 about sports nutrition, and as a team we will be including this often neglected focus into our training and racing.
So far, the FRUIT2 bars area big hit with athletes, and we are excited to try more products.
If you are interested in sports nutrition, be sure to check out our new Fueling for Cross Country Skiing page!
uOttawa Nordiq is supported by THE CYCLERY, a popular Ottawa store specializing in nordic skis and bikes. Let the Cyclery's friendly and knowledgeable staff (which includes several uOttawa Nordiq team members) help set you up for dryland training with rollerski equipment, or get you ready for winter with cross country skis, boots, poles, wax, and proper clothing so you can enjoy the Ottawa-Gatineau region's terrific trail networks.
The Cyclery's dedication to excellence has been recognized many times - and it typically wins the Canadian Cyclist "Best Bike Shop" Award.
Location: 1115 Bank St., Ottawa, Ontario (just south of Sunnyside, across from Hopewell School).
uOttawa Nordiq is supported by Skiwax.ca, an Online Ski Wax & Equipment shop based in Canada and run by skier Andy Shields. Skiwax.ca makes buying wax and ski preparation tools quick and easy, and the site is really well organized, making it easy to find what you want (and a bonus is helpful info by Andy to help you figure that out if you're not sure)! Check out the site if you're looking for a great variety of waxes and products including SkiGo, Holmenkol, Rode, Optiwax, MasterWax, Gallium, Guru, Magnar. Based in Canada.
uOttawa Nordiq is supported by Vauhti Ski Wax. The most popular brand with the XC Ottawa ski team, we are impressed with many aspects of the brand. We are familiar with their dependable and simple grip wax formulas, and so far really impressed with their fluoro-free glide waxes.

uOttawa Nordiq ski suits and warmups are from Apogee Sport. You can read about how we chose our suit here. Apogee is a Quebec-based company dedicated to team-sport apparel, and they have crafted a niche making custom designed clothing for small (or large) teams. Apogee also makes top-quality sports clothing for cycling, speed skating, downhill skiing, triathlon and running.
Apogee has designers that helps create custom suits, and we have been really impressed with their ideas. Dealing with Apogee staff has been amazing!

XC Ottawa is a local racing team community xc ski resource that will be joining forces with uOttawa Nordiq to collaborate with waxing help, waxing expertise, and equipment.
Check out XC Ottawa's website to see what is happening in the Ottawa-Gatineau ski community. XC Ottawa's SKI CONDITIONS REPORTS are a tremendous resource to that many locals consult before heading out to ski (and they can often inspire you to get out the door!). Reports cover the Gatineau Park, Nakkertok, Mooney's Bay, Kanata, the Greenbelt, and the SJAM.
Nakkertok Nordic Ski Club supports our team with discounted student memberships to train at their facility. We also appreciate the ability to coordinate workouts with coaches and athletes of Nakkertok's Development team (several uOttawa Nordiq athletes train and compete with Nakkertok - a good option if you are interested in a personal training plan and NorAm and SuperTour events).
Nakkertok South is just a 15-minute drive from uOttawa, has terrific grooming, and a variety of terrain including racing trails, and one of the few snowmaking setups in Eastern Canada, making early season skiing possible. Nakkertok South is an ideal training venue for racers. Nakkertok hosts national-level competitions and race courses are homologated per FIS standards.
uOttawa Nordiq is lucky to have ROSSIGNOL as a partner, which will help our student athletes with their equipment needs. Rossignol produces terrific skis, boots, poles, and bindings, and we are excited that uOttawa Nordiq athletes will have access to this high quality and performing equipment for their training and racing.
