The Gatineau Loppet is the greatest international cross country ski event in Canada, and we are lucky to have this event in our backyard! The race attracts thousands of local skiers and visitors from some 20 countries around the world.

There are many events to choose from in classic or skate technique! The signature events are the 51 KM Classic and Skate events that cut though Gatineau Park North to South, but the shorter events (5 KM to 27 KM) are also popular. You can also Fat Bike or SnowShoe.

HOW IT WORKS
Each team must have at least 5 skiers, including at least one woman. The 4 best times of the team members (including at least one woman's time) count towards the team score.

OUTREACH
uOttawa Nordiq athletes love the outdoors and want to share that passion! The Gatineau Loppet organizers are showcasing winter activities for elementary school students on Friday February 16, and we'll be on site to spread the love of winter recreation with this younger generation.
