Sakai LMS - Getting Started

This lesson will show you what to expect on the main Sakai home page and what different options can be seen on the home page of Sakai LMS.

In Sakai LMS a “site” is created for every course. There will be one site for each course any instructor is teaching (as well as sites of previous semesters or years). As UoP is starting fresh. No previous or completed sites will be visible.

The first task after successful login for the first time, a teacher is expected to create a site for his course. This process is made simpler and easy in the UoP LMS because all course details are imported from the UoP LMS included all enrolled students. The teacher however still has to create a site.

We have already seen how to provide basic course information at the time of creation of the course site. if you need to modify the basic course information later on, you can still do that by opening the course site, and open Site Info option and clicking on "Edit Site Information".
