About University of Peshawar LMS

A Learning Management System (LMS) is an online platform that is used by teachers and students to engage in educational activities. LMS can be used to deliver courses completely online or LMS can be used to support classroom face-to-face learning as well. Through LMS teachers can share with students, recorded lectures, reading materials in the form of documents or websites, teaching slides and many other resources. Teachers also assign students assignments and take quizzes.

University of Peshawar’s Sakai LMS is integrated with University of Peshawar CMS. This means all subjects offered in any semester will be automatically added to respective teachers accounts and students be automatically enrolled in their respective semester courses.

The University of Peshawar LMS is available at http://lms.uop.edu.pk/portal

All faculty members will be able to login to Sakai using their User ID and password that will be provided by the university through their departmental LMS focal person.

About Instructors Training Website

This website contains Instructor Training resources for using the University of Peshawar Learning Management System (LMS). The training resources shared on this website includes very brief Training Documents and Training Videos. Please do not skip these tutorials.

Links to video resources are also available on the left side menu. Most of the LMS Video training resources are based on some foreign universities' tutorial for the same LMS platform. With the help of these video tutorials faculty members will be able to learn how to perform major courses management tasks in the LMS. Please note some terminologies, email addresses or officials names mentioned in these video tutorials may not apply on University of Peshawar LMS.

Sharing Recorded Video Lectures with Students through LMS

Due to limited storage in the UoP LMS, it is not recommended to upload recorded video lectures directly to the LMS. It is suggested to upload the video lectures to either YouTube or to the official Google Drive accounts of the faculty members and then share the link in the LMS in order to share with students. The following guide will show you how to upload recorded lectures official Google Drive for storage and how to get their web links to share with students on LMS.
