It is informed that the submission deadline for Final Year Project (FYP Phase-l ) including (1 - 4 chapters) and Final Year Project (FYP Phase-ll) submission deadline is on 20th January, 2024. You are requested to follow the provided submission guidelines strictly, otherwise your document will not be accepted . Kindly contact your supervisors for further details at your earliest.

Dear Students,

Hope you are doing well. It is informed that the submission deadline for Final Year Project (FYP Phase-l ) including (1 - 4 chapters) and Final Year Project (FYP Phase-ll) submission deadline is on 20th January, 2024. You are requested to follow the provided submission guidelines strictly, otherwise your document will not be accepted .See the link below for complete submission guidelines.

                                                                       IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear students,

                       Hope you are doing well. As you all are aware of an FYP LAB dedicated for FYP students (lab-CS311). Moreover, the resource is specifically developed and committed for your FYP related tasks for their effective accomplishment and implementation.

Furthermore, the systems are specifically tagged for each of your groups in the lab for PHASE-I AND PHASE-II respectively. 

Therefore, the following points are mandatory to be followed by the FYP students in this regard:

1. Students are instructed to spend at least 6-8 hours per week in the FYP LAB.

2. A regular monitoring is going to be conducted in the lab.

3. The presence would be linked with the FYP MARKING FROM NOW ONWARDS.

4. Absence or non-availability of any group consecutively for 2 weeks would lead towards negative marking or disciplinary action.

Kindly inform the admin office  if in case the lab is closed.

Final Year Project (FYP) Proposal Submission Guidelines (Fall 2023)

Dear Students,

·        All students of BS(SE) who enrolled in the final year project Phase 1(Senior Capstone-I) are required to submit their proposal latest by September 22, 2023.

·        It is compulsory for BS(SE) students to choose their advisor from BS(SE) faculty. FYP Advisor’s list along with their areas of expertise is uploaded on the FYP site (https://sites.google.com/view/uol-se-fyp).

·        Please make sure you have completed the course work of at least 97 credit hours, and you don’t have the “probation” status on your transcript.

·        FYP group leaders should fill the online project allocation form which is available at the FYP site. Project allocation form in any other format will not be acceptable. In addition, all necessary information regarding FYP proposal preparation is provided at the FYP site (https://sites.google.com/view/uol-se-fyp).

·        Students are supposed to submit their project proposals hard copy (along with the checklist given below) to SE admin office on September 22, 2023 before 4 pm.

 Dear Students,

FYP Phase-II Evaluation schedule is given below. You are requested to bring all relevant belongings including Laptops, internet modem, etc. that could be helpful for your project in fully functional mode. No excuse would be accepted on the day of evaluation. Apart from this, you are required to prepare the presentation slides and your presentation should be 20-30 minutes approximately.  Please report to FYP Committee at least 30 minutes prior to your evaluation time.

Login Instructions for FYP students at Portal 

1. Each FYP student must have to login using their official email and login with the option "Login with Google".  Students must have to choose the  Department of Software Engineering when login.

2. As the students log in with the portal, a login request is generated and sent to the FYP team for approval (to ensure the FYP registered students only).

3. FYP team approves after checking the eligibility, and approval notification will be sent to the users (students).

4. Then, FYP group leaders send requests to their FYP group members to make a group. All group members accept this request.

5. Students request the project idea which was uploaded by their supervisor and wait for acceptance from the supervisor.

6. Finally, students can upload their FYP proposal on the portal.

FYP Phase-II evaluations will be held on Thursday and Friday (Feb 03-04, 2022). FYP Phase-II detailed evaluation schedule will be uploaded on FYP site soon. 

On the day of evaluation, you are requested to bring all relevant belongings including Laptops, internet modem, etc. that could be helpful for your project in fully functional mode. No excuse would be accepted on the day of evaluation. Apart from this, you are required to prepare the presentation slides and your presentation should be 20-30 minutes.  

   FYP Phase-l Submission Deadline Notice (Fall 2021)

 Dear Students,

 It is informed that the submission deadline for Final Year Proiect (FYP Phase-l ) includinq (1 - 4 chapters) is on Wednesdav. 26th Januarv 2022. You are requested to follow the provided submission guidelines strictly, otherwise your document will not be accepted. o FYP Phase-l documentation requirements must be completed according to the guidelines and standard templates uploaded at https://sites.soogle.com/view/uo l-se-fyp Please make sure that your FYP Phase-l document must be reviewed and approved by your advisor. Your advisor's signature is compulsory, othenwise it will not be accepted. ! All relevant diagrams and tables should be synchronized within the document "no" captioned properly. Note that FYP Phase-l document carries 10% weightage. Kindly submit your deliverables to SE admin office by Wednesday 26  January 2022. Late submissions will not be accepted.

      FYP Phase-ll Submission Deadline Notice (Fall 2021)

Dear Students,

It is informed that the Final Year Proiect (FYP Phase-ll) submission deadline is on Fridav 28th Januarv 2022. Kindly submit your deliverables to SE admin office latest by Friday 28th January 2022. FYP Phase-ll evaluation would be scheduled any time right after FYp phase-ll submissions and the evaluations would be scheduled on campus. you are requested to get ready for the evaluation after the submission deadline. FYP Phase-ll documentation requirements must be completed according to the guidelines and standard templates uploaded at: https://sites.google.com/view/uol-se-fvp .

Login Instructions for FYP students at Portal

1. Each FYP student must have to login at FYP portal (https://fyp.uol.edu.pk) using their official (UoL) email and login with the option "Login with Google". Please make sure that you have selected the Department of Software Engineering at the time of login.
