Important notes for planned parts of the day:
For the last 2 years the MoE's NEX funding has paid for folks to attend. This year that funding continues to be available via NZIP.

The maximum number of attendees will be capped at 200. But for those who register before that cap is reached, there will be no cost to those attending!

Be aware, if multiple teachers are attending from 1 school only a single registration form is needed. So have a chat with your workmates before registering, if you're lucky enough to have physics-teaching workmates!

The traditional teacher-run sharing of ideas and Q&A
A session looking at where we're at with NZ physics curriculum and assessment in late 2026.
But a word of warning: it has been said that it's unlikely the "updated" or "next" version of Yr11 science, or Yr 12 or 13 physics curriculum will be out before early 2027. Thus we may spend some time with the state of Yr0-10 science curriculum and how that may play out in various schools in/around Auckland, Waikato and Northland.
That being said, if the new version of Yr11 science or Yr12/13 physics is released before mid-November, we will no doubt devote a chunk of time towards that meaty topic.
If time allows, a discussion on any issues that arise from the Level 3, 2 or 1 external physics exams.
