Since we have now reached our 200 person limit: registration via this form is now closed. For the last 2 years the MoE's NEX funding has paid for folks to attend. This year that funding continues to be available via NZIP.

Be aware, if multiple teachers are attending from 1 school only a single registration form is needed. So have a chat with your workmates before registering, if you're lucky enough to have physics-teaching workmates!

The traditional teacher-run sharing of ideas and Q&A
A session looking at where we're at with NZ physics curriculum and assessment in late 2026.
Since MoE released phase 5 (Yr11-13) curriculum in early October, we'll have part of the day devoted to both Yr11 science and Yr12/13 physics.
But we'll also spend some time with the Yr0-10 science curriculum released in August: how that may play out in various schools in/around Auckland, Waikato and Northland.
We're also hoping to include a chunk of time specifically devoted to techniques teachers employ to help physics studets with limited math skills.
If time allows, a discussion on any issues that arise from the Level 3, 2 or 1 external physics exams.
