By downloading, installing, or using Unshook ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Unshook is a mobile app for conversation training that provides:
Real-time AI voice conversation practice
Scenario-based communication drills
Session transcripts and review
AI-generated feedback and improvement suggestions
Progress tracking and personalized recommendations
You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You will not use the App:
To violate any applicable law or regulation
To infringe the rights of others
To submit harmful, abusive, or illegal content
To misuse AI-generated content as professional legal, medical, or financial advice
IMPORTANT: Some jurisdictions require consent from one or all parties before recording audio.
You are solely responsible for:
Understanding and complying with applicable recording consent laws
Obtaining required consent before recording conversations
Notifying participants when recording is active, where required by law
You are responsible for securing your device and any credentials or API keys used with the App.
The App, including its design, features, code, branding, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App.
You retain ownership of your recordings, transcripts, and other content you create in the App. You grant us and our processors permission to process this content only as needed to provide App functionality.
The App uses third-party AI services, including:

We are not responsible for third-party service practices.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:
Accuracy of transcripts or AI feedback
Completeness or reliability of generated suggestions
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Fitness for a particular purpose
AI output may be inaccurate. Always verify important information.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:
Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
Decisions made based on App output
Errors or omissions in generated content
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE PREVIOUS 12 MONTHS.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of others’ rights
Your noncompliance with applicable recording laws
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the App or website. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe your use violates these Terms or creates risk to us or others.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes arising from these Terms or use of the App will be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
