Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using Unplug: Full Battery Alarm
HPG Mobile built Unplug: Full Battery Alarm as a free app. This SERVICE is provided by HPG Mobile at no cost and is intended for use as is. The app is supported by advertising and offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to remove ads and unlock all features.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies on the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how Unplug: Full Battery Alarm ("Unplug", "the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Android application. Unplug helps you focus and study by growing a virtual tree during each focus session. If you stay in the app until the timer ends, your tree grows. If you leave early, it withers. By using Unplug, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information processed on your device only
The App reads your device's battery status – battery level, charging state, charging source, temperature, voltage and battery health – to show battery information and to ring the alarms you set. This data is processed on your device only. We do not upload, store on our servers, sell or share your battery data.
Your alarm settings (alarm levels, ringtone choice, volume, vibration, temperature unit) are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App.
2. Information collected by third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information automatically:
- Google AdMob (advertising): advertising ID, device information (model, OS version, language), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data. Used to show ads, measure ad performance and prevent fraud. Ads may be personalized where you have given consent.
- Google Firebase Analytics (analytics): app instance ID, app interactions (screens viewed, features used), in-app purchase events, device and OS information. Used to understand how the App is used and to improve it.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics (stability): crash logs and diagnostic data such as device state at the time of a crash. Used to find and fix bugs.
- Google Play Billing (payments): processes the one-time "Premium – Lifetime" purchase. Payment details are handled entirely by Google; we never receive your card or payment information. We only receive a purchase confirmation to unlock Premium.
These services process data according to their own privacy policies:
– Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
– How Google uses information from apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
– Firebase privacy and security: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
We do not collect your name, email address (unless you email us), contacts, photos, files, messages or precise location.
3. App permissions
The App requests only the permissions it needs to work as a battery alarm:
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to deliver your full battery, low battery and temperature alarms and to show the ongoing monitoring notification. We use notifications only for battery alarms and App status – never for fake messages or advertising.
- Foreground service/background running (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): to monitor battery level and temperature continuously while at least one alarm is turned on, so the alarm can ring at the exact level you chose even when the App is closed. While this is active, a persistent notification is always shown. Monitoring stops when you turn all alarms off.
- Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): to restart battery monitoring after your phone restarts, only if you had alarms turned on.
- Full-screen alarm (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): to display the alarm screen over your lock screen so you can see and stop the alarm immediately. Used only for alarms you have set, never for ads.
- Wake lock and vibration (WAKE_LOCK, VIBRATE): to turn on the screen and vibrate when an alarm rings.
- Internet and network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): to load ads, send analytics and crash reports, and verify purchases. Battery alarms work without an internet connection.
- Advertising ID (AD_ID): used by AdMob as described above.
- Billing (BILLING): to process the optional one-time purchase through Google Play.
You can revoke notification and full-screen permissions at any time in your device Settings. If you do, alarms may not be shown or may appear only as a standard notification.
4. Advertising and consent
The App shows ads provided by Google AdMob. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time from the App's settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device Settings. Purchasing Premium – Lifetime removes ads from the App.
5. How we use information
We use the information described above to: provide battery alarms and battery information; show ads and keep the App free; process and restore your purchase; analyze usage to improve features; and detect, fix and prevent crashes, bugs and fraud. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
Battery data and settings stay on your device until you uninstall the App. Analytics, crash and advertising data are retained by Google according to the retention settings of Firebase and AdMob and Google's own policies.
7. Your rights and data deletion
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request – including a request to delete analytics data associated with your app instance – email us at admin@hpgmobile.com with the subject "Data request – Unplug". We will respond within 30 days. Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data sent to third-party services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
