WE Local Portland
April 6th-8th, 2018
Several of our members and future officers had the opportunity to attend the WE Local Conference in Portland, Oregon this spring to attend talks, career fairs, and network with students and professionals from around the country. It was wonderful to meet so many people and explore such a cool city!
Industry Night

A big thank you to all who attended our 3rd Annual Industry Night! It was a big success and it was wonderful to be able to network with other students and professionals, and we also had some amazing professional head shots taken by Gabryela Thomas for our LinkedIn profiles! Hearing about the journeys of other women in the field of engineering was truly inspirational and mind opening! Keep a look out for Industry Night next spring!
The Art of Science
December 2nd, 2017
Thank you to the Girl Scouts of New Mexico, UNM School of Engineering, AIChE, ANE, ASME, IEEE, SWE members, and all of our sponsors who made this incredible event possible. During this event, the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails and their friends were able to learn more about the varying concentrations of engineering, and do tons of fun activities! Some of our favorite activities were looking at non-ionizing radiation, making scarves using cyanotype printing, making hydraulic claws, learning about LED lights, eating nitrogen ice cream, and playing Tic Tac Toe with robots!
National Conference
October 27th - 29th, 2017
The UNM SWE members had a fantastic time at the National SWE Conference in Austin, Texas. Members experienced nationwide networking, professional development seminars, and career fair opportunities. It truly was an exciting and inspiring weekend!
G.I.R.L Extravaganza

Our members had a blast today teaching Girl Scouts about Lissajous curves and electric circuits! A big thank you to the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails for letting us be a part of G.I.R.L. Extravaganza today!
Friday Night Live Tabling

A big thanks to all the UNM SWE members who came out and helped with our table at Friday Night Live! We spoke to several excited engineering students about the opportunities SWE offers while handing out some sweet swag (and a few t-shirts)!
