About the Council...

Sam is a International Studies and English Studies Major at UNM. She primarily studies premodern literature and European cultures. Her goal is to eradicate hunger globally and if given the chance she can eat a quarter of a watermelon in 30 seconds or under. Her favorite candies are also lemon heads… because you can say you’re eating a head and they taste awesome

Katy is a Sociology Major at UNM with a minor in Family and Child Studies. She plans to be a social worker when she graduates. Katy is an avid Squishmallow collector and her collection now stands at 150+ Squishmallows.

Ps. Ask Katy about her dog. She loves talking about her dog.

Hailey is a Business Major at UNM along with two years of a Biology degree. She is an avid reader and is known to have at least 100 AO3 tabs open at one time. She can often be found serving as a pillow to dogs Phoebe, Sierra, and cat Oreo.

Rin is a Statistics/Psychology major at UNM with an interest in research and a minor in Statistics. He enjoys tea and writing, but has been told it’s not typical to write over 5,000 words in one sitting.

Zozo is not a student at UNM... As a matter of fact, shes not a student anywhere. But that doesn't stop her from wreaking havoc on the Hobbits Society...

Jude is a music theory and composition major at UNM. He is a massive video game nerd, but is fine with chatting about basically anything! He works to run the blog “Halfling Hymns” on this very website!

Marcela is a sophomore at UNM pursuing a major in Communication and Journalism with a minor in Design for Performance. She likes making herself green on the weekends and dancing on the weekdays. Marcela enjoys rock'n'rolling everyday of the week.

Simon is a history and archeology double major student. They plan to keep going to school for forever so they never have to face the real world and get the academic validation from having 72 degrees. They also have a 50-year-old copy of Lord of the rings with hand drawn cover art by Tolkien.

Madi is an English Studies and History Major at UNM. She plans to become a professor in the future so that she can teach nerdy classes to her heart's content.

Don't ask her about her opinions on Gandalf. Or do. But don't say you weren't warned...

Claire is a senior at UNM working towards a bachelors in French. Claire plans to normalize a closed-loop production cycle in the fashion industry. When Claire is not crying over Foucault, she can be found walking ‘round town, breaking it down, or clowning around.
