If you go looking through the first 5 books of the Bible, you will not see the name of Jesus mentioned. But I believe that God wants us to search deep into His Word for answers, and what I am about to show you, in my opinion is divine prophecy forecasting the Son of God , dying for the sins of the world. But you say to me, Pastor Darrell, if it had been in there the Jews would have seen it. Some say in history that they did and chose to ignore it in order to propagate their own religious ends. God lays it out for those who have spiritual eyes to see it, and ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying through His word.

Jesus said Moses spoke of Him and He did. We are going to look at Genesis 5, and unlock a Bible Code. When I first saw this, I was jumping out of my seat. Below is a shortened version of Genesis the 5th chapter with the material we need for this piece.

This story reaches deeper than you may think at first glance. The truth of this genealogy shows that in chapter 5 of the Book of Genesis, God had already laid out His plan to redeem mankind for the sin of Adam. Genesis is the beginning of a love story, written in the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ on a cross over 2000 years ago. Thank you Lord for your sacrifice, and thank you for the truth of your Word. Moses knew and Jesus knew, all the way back in Genesis the 5th Chapter.

This is awesome! I knew there are references to Jesus and His coming in the OT. But, I did not think in terms of this kind of deciphering. I knew that when the Lord speaks in the plural in the OT, He is talking about Himself and Jesus. (We) Thanks so much for this. I, too, will be following along to see what else you have to reveal to us. Praise the Lord!

Thank you Michael, you touched my heart with your kind words. Thanks so much for stopping by. I am glad to see that the Lord changed your life. Many blessings to you in your walk with Christ ? Darrell

Pastor Darrell, God lead me to you tonight. I watched the movie/series The Bible these past weeks. Last night, a question formed in my mind. When was the first time Jesus was mentioned in the bible. Ask.com lead me to you. I believe God lead me here. So thank you and Peace and Blessings upon you.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

As he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood ...

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and he shut up the doors of the house of the Lord, and he made himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.

And God spoke all these words, saying, I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, ...

Come join your fellow believers and disciples in Christ, in exploring and learning the Word of God. We will be continuing our exciting journey through the bible with an in-depth 20-week study of the Book of Acts.

In this study of the Book of Acts: we will explore how the gospel witnesses spread outward in waves from Jerusalem, and reveal how the seeds of Church structure and authority took root. Presenter Jeff Cavins shows how the joys and struggles of the early Christians in living the life of Christ apply to us today.

The story of the Book of Acts is of how a few Christians, empowered by the Holy Spirit, were chosen to bring Christ and the Good News to the ends of the earth. They faced secular forces, internal strife, and hostile crowds, and despite all of this, they brought the kingdom of God to a broken world and the love of God to the hearts of men. We will learn in-depth of their amazing story and help us, as a community and as individuals to see our place in the Church as a disciple of Christ. 152ee80cbc
