About the Meeting
The first mobility meeting of the Erasmus+ project Unlocking Pathways to STEM Careers was hosted by INCIRLIOVA BILIM VE SANAT MERKEZI in Turkey. The meeting brought together teachers from partner organisations to start the project and plan future activities.
Participants had the opportunity to get to know each other, present their schools and share ideas about STEM education and career opportunities. The meeting focused on introducing the project objectives and discussing how to support students in exploring STEM careers.
Activities
During the mobility, participants:

Participants also explored the local culture and visited important historical places, which helped strengthen cooperation and friendships between partner schools.

Erasmus+ Know-How Meeting
The first day of the Know-How Meeting within the Erasmus+ project Unlocking Pathways to STEM Careers took place at İncirliova Science and Art Center in Türkiye. Partners from Poland, Italy, Slovakia and Slovenia participated in the meeting.
The programme included an official welcome and introduction of the partner institutions. Participants presented their schools and organisations and shared information about STEM education in their countries.
During the day, the project objectives and planned activities were introduced and discussed. Participants also visited the host school and observed the learning environments and STEM facilities.
The first discussions focused on different approaches to STEM career guidance and ways to support students in exploring future careers.
The first day created a strong foundation for cooperation and prepared the partners for the following project activities.
School Visit
During the Know-How Meeting, participants visited Özel Ege Atabey Ortaokulu, where they were guided through the school and introduced to its learning environment.
Participants had the opportunity to observe classrooms, explore STEM-focused activities and learn about the school’s approach to STEM education. The visit also included discussions and exchange of ideas about innovative methods and good practices in STEM teaching.
The school visit supported mutual learning and provided valuable insights into different approaches to STEM education.
School Visit
Participants visited Osmanbükü Ekrem Çiftçi Primary School as part of the meeting programme in Turkey.
During the visit, participants explored the Future Classroom Lab (FCL) learning spaces and observed STEM-related activities. The visit included sharing experiences and examples of good practices in STEM education.
The group was guided through the school by teacher Cevat Ayna, who introduced the learning environments and demonstrated selected STEM activities.
The visit provided useful insights into innovative teaching approaches and supported the exchange of educational practices among partner institutions.
Official Visits
As part of the meeting programme in Turkey, participants visited the offices of Mr. İlhan Abay, District Governor of İncirliova, and Mr. Mustafa Çalışkan, District Director of National Education of İncirliova.
During the visits, participants discussed education systems in their countries and shared experiences related to STEM education and current educational practices.
After the official meetings, participants attended a joint lunch organised by Mr. Aytekin Kaya, Mayor of İncirliova.
These visits provided an opportunity for professional exchange and supported international cooperation in education.
Cultural Visits
Participants took part in cultural visits to Ephesus, Şirince and Kuşadası as part of the meeting programme in Turkey.
The visit to the ancient city of Ephesus introduced participants to the rich historical heritage of the region. In Şirince, participants learned about local traditions and cultural life, while the visit to Kuşadası provided an opportunity for informal exchange and intercultural interaction.
These cultural activities supported cultural understanding and strengthened cooperation among the partner institutions.
Conclusion of the Meeting
The three-day meeting in Turkey was successfully completed with all planned activities carried out as scheduled.
The programme included partner presentations, classroom observations, workshops focused on STEM teaching practices, exploration of innovative learning environments such as Future Classroom Lab (FCL) classrooms, school visits, and discussions about STEM career guidance. Cultural visits also supported intercultural exchange and cooperation among participants.
At the end of the meeting, participants received certificates of participation. The meeting concluded with strengthened cooperation and clear plans for the next project activities.
Final Meeting
The mobility in Turkey concluded with a joint dinner as part of the meeting programme.
This final gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the activities of the three-day programme, strengthen cooperation among the participants, and celebrate the collaborative spirit developed during the meeting. The mobility ended in a friendly and positive atmosphere after a productive international exchange.
