This Privacy Policy explains how Unleeshed Studios, a sole proprietorship operated by Eesh Majithia (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Macra mobile application (“App”) and related services (“Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies to users worldwide. Certain rights and protections vary depending on your jurisdiction.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
When you first open Macra, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous user identifier (UID) used to store your data and progress. This UID does not include your name, email address, or direct identifiers.
You may enter:
Food logs and nutritional data
Body weight
Personal notes and AI Notepad text
App preferences (goals, notifications, streaks)
If you choose to add a profile photo, it is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Firebase may automatically collect:
Device model
Operating system
IP address
Crash logs
Performance metrics
Usage analytics
Subscription information is handled through Apple StoreKit. We do not receive payment card details.
We do not collect:
Email addresses
Advertising identifiers
Precise location data
Contacts or messages
Cross-app or cross-site tracking data
We use Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage and improve performance. Analytics data is aggregated and not used to identify individual users. You may limit analytics through your device settings.
When using the AI Notepad, only the text you enter is sent to Google’s Gemini model to generate responses. We do not send identifiers, body weight, profile photos, or location data.
AI responses may be inaccurate and are for informational purposes only. Your data is not used to train public AI models.
We use information to:
Operate and maintain the App
Store logs and preferences
Generate AI Notepad responses
Process subscriptions
Send reminders and notifications
Improve performance and security
We do not sell data, share data with advertisers, or use data to train AI models.
We share information only with essential service providers:
Firebase (authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting)
Google Gemini (AI text processing only)
Apple StoreKit (payments and subscriptions)
We retain data only while your anonymous account remains active. Upon deletion request or app uninstall, your account data is permanently deleted. Non-identifiable analytics may be retained.
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure authentication, and restricted access controls. No system is completely secure, but reasonable safeguards are applied.
Macra is not intended for children under age 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.
Macra is not a HIPAA-covered entity. Information entered into the App is not considered Protected Health Information (PHI).
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or obtain a copy of your data.
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law.
