## SMS and Call Log Permissions - Device Automation

UnLeashed uses SMS and Call Log permissions for **Device Automation** purposes only:

### What We Do:

- **Monitor** incoming SMS and calls when you're away from designated locations

- **Provide notifications** with pre-filled auto-reply messages

- **Send SMS** only when you tap "Send Reply" button

- **Never** act as your default SMS or Phone app

- **Never** intercept, modify, or hide your messages

### What We Don't Do:

- ❌ Replace your default messaging app

- ❌ Replace your default phone app  

- ❌ Read message content (only sender information)

- ❌ Automatically send messages without your approval

- ❌ Store or transmit your messages to servers

- ❌ Share SMS/Call data with third parties

### User Control:

- You maintain full control over all message sending

- Each auto-reply requires your explicit tap to send

- You can review and edit messages before sending

- All processing happens locally on your device

## 1. Information We Collect

### 1.1 Location Data

UnLeashed requires access to your device's location to provide its core functionality:

- **Precise Location (GPS):** Used to determine when you leave or return to your designated "home" location and any additional permitted locations you configure

- **Background Location:** Monitored continuously while the app is active to automatically silence your phone when you're away and restore volume when you return

- **Storage:** Your home location and additional location coordinates are stored locally on your device only

**Important:** Location data never leaves your device. We do not transmit, store, or share your location information with our servers or any third parties.

### 1.2 SMS and Call Information

- **SMS Sender Numbers:** We monitor incoming SMS sender numbers to trigger auto-reply notifications when you're away from permitted locations. Message content is NOT read or stored.

- **Call Numbers:** We monitor incoming call numbers to detect calls and trigger auto-reply notifications. Call details are not stored or transmitted.

- **Temporary Storage:** Sender phone numbers are temporarily stored locally to prevent duplicate notifications (one notification per contact per detection).

**Important:** We do NOT read message content. We only detect that a message or call arrived and from which number. You remain in full control of whether to send any reply.

### 1.3 Personal Information You Provide

- **Your Name:** Optional name for personalizing auto-reply messages

- **Custom Messages:** Auto-reply messages you create

- **Location Names:** Names you assign to saved locations (e.g., "Work", "Gym")

All personal information is stored locally on your device only.

### 1.4 Usage Data

- **Statistics:** Time spent away from home, number of auto-replies sent (stored locally for your reference)

- **App Preferences:** Settings and configurations (stored locally)

### 1.5 Device Permissions

UnLeashed requires the following permissions:

- **Location (Precise & Background):** Determine your distance from permitted locations

- **SMS (Send, Receive, Read):** Detect incoming messages and enable optional auto-reply

- **Phone (Read State, Call Log):** Detect incoming calls

- **Notifications:** Display auto-reply notifications

- **Display Over Other Apps:** Show notification with auto-reply option

- **Audio Settings:** Silence phone when away, restore volume when home

- **Battery Optimization Exemption:** Ensure the app works reliably in the background

## 2. How We Use Your Information

UnLeashed uses the collected information solely to provide its core functionality:

- Determine when you leave or return to permitted locations

- Automatically silence your phone when away

- Restore phone volume when you return

- Detect incoming SMS messages and calls while away

- Display notifications with customizable auto-reply messages you can choose to send

- Track usage statistics for your personal reference

**We do NOT:**

- Transmit any data to external servers

- Share your information with third parties (except as required for advertising - see Section 5)

- Use your data for any purpose other than app functionality

- Read or store message content

- Monitor your movements beyond permitted location detection

- Automatically send messages without your explicit approval

**You are always in control.** Every auto-reply message requires you to tap "Send Reply" before it is sent.

### 3.1 Local Storage

All personal data (location coordinates, names, messages, preferences) is stored locally on your device using Android's secure SharedPreferences system. This data is:

- Protected by your device's security (PIN, password, biometrics)

- Not accessible to other apps

- Automatically deleted if you uninstall the app

- Never transmitted over the internet

### 3.2 Security Measures

- Data is stored using Android's encrypted storage

- No user accounts or cloud syncing (no servers to breach)

- Minimal data collection (only what's necessary for functionality)

### 4.1 Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your location data, messages, and settings remain on your device.

### 4.2 Legal Requirements

Since no data leaves your device and reaches our servers, we have no data to provide in response to legal requests. Only you have access to data stored on your device.

UnLeashed displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

- Device advertising ID

- General location (city/country level, not precise location)

- App usage data

**Ad Types:**

- **Banner Ads:** Displayed at top and bottom of screens

- **Interstitial Ads:** Shown between certain actions (e.g., changing settings)

- **App Open Ads:** Displayed when opening the app (after first use, with 30-minute cooldown)

- **Rewarded Ads:** Optional - watch to remove interstitial/app-open ads for 24 hours

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings or by watching a rewarded ad to remove most ads for 24 hours.

**Important Clarification:**

UnLeashed is a **Device Automation** app, NOT a replacement for your default SMS or Phone apps.

**What this means:**

- Your default messaging app (Messages, Texting, etc.) continues to work normally

- Your default phone app continues to work normally

- UnLeashed does NOT intercept, hide, or modify your messages

- UnLeashed does NOT replace your phone's calling functionality

- You receive normal notifications from your regular messaging apps

- UnLeashed simply provides ADDITIONAL notifications with optional auto-reply when you're away from permitted locations

**How it works:**

1. You leave a permitted location (e.g., home)

2. Your phone automatically silences

3. When a text or call arrives, you get a notification from UnLeashed

4. You can tap "Send Reply" to send your custom message, or ignore it

5. Your regular messaging app also shows the message normally

6. When you return to a permitted location, your phone un-silences

UnLeashed works alongside your existing apps, not instead of them.
