Galaxy in a Jar Tuesday, July 2 @5:00pm

Join us as we put an entire galaxy in our hands Learn how to make a Galaxy Jar, which is a perfect sensory bottle or calm down jar craft that kids and adults alike will love. Different colors will be used. In these jars to dazzle the eyes. All materials will be provided. However if you want to bring your own jar you may do so. Registration is required.

Battlebots-Tuesday, July 23@ 5:00pm Time to take coding skills to the Mobile Quest arena. In this program participants will modify our Dash robots with balloons, skewers, plastic straws and more as they prepare for battle! Participants work together in teams of 3 controlling their Battlebots until the last balloon is popped! Space is limited. Registration is required

Moon Over Tuesday, July 16 @6:00pm

The Eagle has landed. We will experiment to create impact craters and examine the associated features. We will travel to observe the geography of the lunar surface. They then will compare to other celestial bodies. Learners model how the Moon's volcanic period reshaped its earlier features. We will do this using rice Krispy treats and chocolate syrup.

Henna Your Heart out. Tuesday, July 30 @ 6pm Not an artist? If you can doodle, you can be successful at henna! Or maybe you'd just like to have an experienced henna artist grace your hand with a moon, star, sun or other design A safe, plant based dye originating thousands of years ago in India, the Middle East and Africa, this beautiful body art lasts 1-3 weeks and is thought to bring protection, love and good fortune to those it adorns. In this hands-on workshop participants will be adorned by Molly with a high quality, unique, freehand design on their wrists, hands or fingers. They will also try using Molly's hand-made henna cones on laminated practice sheets. Space is Limited. Registration is required.

The Aliens have landed!!! Monday July 8 @ 5:oo pm. Ok so the aliens aren’t landing BUT, will know because we will be making one eyed and three eyed furry and scaly, humid or little and green aliens. Make a cute little alien or a 40 eyes reptilian 4 arms. We will provide the materials and perhaps some inspiration. Then it will be up to you what direction to take it. Registration required. klaatu barada nikto!

Across the Universe. Monday, August 5 @ 6:00pm. We will examine the different parts of the universe. Patrons view images of Earth and Mars to compare features, just like a scientist would. From the library we will take a trip to mars and check out its surface. Participants create a "star clock" that they can take home and use to tell the time from the position of the Big Dipper in the night sky. We will use our knowledge to sort out the Universe out. Registration required.

Marvelous, Massive, Incomparable, Ice Cream Spectacle Wednesday, August7 @ 6:00 pm. All those who participated and read books for the summer reading program are invited. Prizes will also be awarded to those who actively participated in this summer’s reading program.
