Universal Orlando Student Trip – Final Itinerary & Travel Information
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you and your student are excited for our upcoming trip to Universal Studios Orlando, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe! Below you will find the complete itinerary, travel details, check-in instructions, and important reminders to help the trip run smoothly.
(The daily itinerary is just an example of what students can do those days. They are not limited to the listed restaurants; those are just options for parents to research the menu to see an estimated cost for food.)
TRAVEL INFORMATION – FEBRUARY 5
Flight: 6:05 AM departure from Dallas Love Field
Required Arrival Time: 4AM
Drop-Off Location: Southwest Airlines departures area.
Important: Please do not leave until a chaperone confirms your student has been checked in.
Students are to be dropped off at Love Field. It’s best to carpool, or if students want to stay at a friend’s house the night before and ride together the next morning, that is highly encouraged.
Students must bring:
ID (school or government-issued)
Charged phone
1 Carry-on and 1 personal bag.
We will not be checking any bags. Make sure your bags are the appropriate size.
ITINERARY
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5th – Travel + Epic Universe
4 AM — Student drop-off/check-in at Love Field
6:05 AM — Depart Dallas
9:00 AM — Arrive in Orlando
11:00 AM — Arrive at Stella Luna Hotel
Afternoon & Evening: Epic Universe
Focus on major attractions and exploring each land
Meals Inside the Park: Toadstool Café, Pizza Moon, Mead Hall, or Atlantic
Meals are not provided on this trip so you will need to send your student with enough money to pay for their meals in the parks!
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6 – Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure
(Students may start in either Universal or Islands of Adventure. This is just an example of what they could do this day)
Islands of Adventure (morning):
Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure
VelociCoaster
Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man
Breakfast Options:
Croissant Moon Bakery
Three Broomsticks
Lunch Options:
Thunder Falls Terrace
Burger Digs
Universal Studios Florida (afternoon):
Revenge of the Mummy
Transformers
Various shows
Dinner Options:
Finnegan’s Bar & Grill
Lombard’s Seafood Grille
Students will have a two park pass and may explore both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure this day. They may also eat at the City Walk restaurants if they want. They must have Life 360 active on their phones and may not leave the Universal, Islands, or City Walk areas.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7 – Rest Day + CityWalk Evening
Morning–2:00 PM — Relax at the resort
Afternoon — Universal CityWalk
Escape Rooms: Jurassic World & Back to the Future
Dinner at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium (Provided)
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8 – Full Day at Epic Universe
Breakfast Options:
Oak & Star Tavern
Café L’air De La Sirène
Attractions:
Celestial Park
Super Nintendo World
Isle of Berk
Dark Universe
Lunch Options:
Toadstool Café
Spit Fyre Grill
Dinner:
Atlantic
Blue Dragon Pan-Asian
Evening: Re-rides, nighttime shows, shopping.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9 – Universal + Backstage Tour + Departure
7:00AM WAKE UP CALL – Make sure bags are packed to take down to the lobby.
9:00 AM — Backstage Special Effects Tour at Universal Studios
Breakfast Options: TODAY Café or Leaky Cauldron
Lunch Options: Fast Food Boulevard or Louie’s Italian
Afternoon rides, photos, shopping
5:00 PM — Leave for airport
8:00 PM — Flight home to Dallas
GENERAL PARK TIPS (NO EXPRESS PASSES)
Arrive early — rope drop dramatically reduces wait times
Ride the biggest attractions early or late in the day
Use mobile ordering for meals
Stay hydrated and take breaks when needed
All students must remain with their assigned groups. Students may not be alone in the park and must be in a group of at least 3 people.
Regular check-ins with chaperones are required
