Leaving home can feel overwhelming, but every great story begins with a first step. Arriving at college may be intimidating at first, learning a new setting, meeting a new cast, and adjusting to life away from familiar comforts. Like the opening scenes of a film, it takes time to understand your role and find your rhythm. But you’re not on your own! Our small yet mighty college offers countless ways to get involved. By connecting new students with resources and opportunities, we aim to help them step into the story, explore new directions, and make the most of their time at Rice.

Everyone arrives at college with a different story and no clear ending. At Rice, new students will face challenges that shape who they become over time. With guidance and support from the A-Team, Advisors, CFs, and PAAs, we want to help New Students build confidence, grow personally, and gain the tools they need to take the next step in their journey.

At Will Rice, we believe every great cast is made up of people with different backgrounds and stories. Our community is welcoming and supportive, and we want every New Student to feel encouraged as they build new relationships with their peers. By learning from one another and celebrating what makes us different, we grow together.
