Universal Converter is provided by Elec Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
We respect your privacy. Universal Converter is designed so that your personal files and file contents are processed locally on your device whenever you use the app's conversion, reading, viewing, OCR, and related file tools.
This Privacy Policy explains how Universal Converter handles information and how third-party services integrated into the app may process certain device and usage information.
Universal Converter allows you to work with documents, PDFs, images, text, audio, video, and other supported files.
The contents of files you select for conversion, viewing, reading, or OCR are processed locally on your device.
We do not upload your files to our servers for conversion.
We do not sell your files or file contents.
We do not use the contents of your documents, images, PDFs, audio, video, or OCR results for advertising.
Temporary and generated files may be stored locally on your device as necessary to perform conversions, display results, maintain recent-file functionality, or allow you to save and share generated files.
You can remove generated or retained files using available app controls or by removing the app and its locally stored data from your device.
Universal Converter does not currently require you to create a Universal Converter account to use its core functionality.
Purchases and subscriptions are associated with the applicable app-store purchasing system and supporting purchase infrastructure rather than a Universal Converter user account.
The free version of Universal Converter may display advertising, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements.
We use Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads to provide advertising.
Google's advertising technology may automatically process information such as:
IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
device and advertising identifiers;
app interactions and advertising interactions;
diagnostic and performance information;
information used for advertising, analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
Advertising providers do not receive the contents of files that you process with Universal Converter from us.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be presented with privacy or consent choices regarding advertising. Universal Converter uses Google's consent tools where applicable.
Google's handling of information is governed by Google's applicable privacy policies and advertising policies.
Universal Converter may offer Pro access through subscriptions and/or a one-time purchase.
Purchases are processed by the platform's app store, such as Google Play or Apple's App Store.
Universal Converter may use RevenueCat to manage purchase status, subscriptions, purchase restoration, and Pro entitlement status.
Payment-card details are not entered into or stored directly by Universal Converter. Payment processing is handled by the applicable app store.
Purchase-related services may process information necessary to determine whether you have an active subscription or valid Pro entitlement.
Universal Converter may store information locally on your device that is necessary for app functionality, including:
application preferences;
conversion history;
recent-file information;
generated outputs;
reading position or viewer state;
free-tier usage counters;
rewarded-ad allowances;
cached Pro entitlement status; and
consent/preferences required for advertising.
This information is used to provide app functionality and maintain your preferences.
When you use supported OCR functionality, image processing and text recognition are designed to occur locally on your device.
We do not use OCR text for advertising and do not intentionally transmit the contents of OCR results to advertising providers.
Universal Converter may allow you to share a file or open it in another application.
When you intentionally choose to share or open a file externally, the destination application or service you select may receive that file.
How that third party handles the file is governed by its own privacy policy and practices.
We do not sell your personal files or their contents.
Information may be processed by third-party service providers integrated into Universal Converter for specific purposes, including:
Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads — advertising, advertising measurement, analytics, security, and fraud prevention;
Google Play — Android app distribution and purchases;
Apple App Store — iOS app distribution and purchases, where applicable;
RevenueCat — purchase, subscription, and entitlement management.
These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable configuration.
Universal Converter is designed to minimize transmission of file content by performing supported file processing locally.
Where third-party services transmit information, those services may use encrypted network connections and their own security measures.
No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Files, history, preferences, usage counters, and other app information stored locally remain on your device according to the app's functionality and your actions.
Where available, you may delete generated files or history through Universal Converter.
You can also remove locally stored application data using your device's application settings or by uninstalling Universal Converter.
Information processed independently by Google, Apple, RevenueCat, or other third-party providers is subject to those providers' respective retention and deletion policies.
Because Universal Converter does not currently provide its own user-account system, there is no separate Universal Converter cloud account containing your converted files to delete.
Universal Converter is a general-purpose file utility and is not specifically directed to children.
Advertising and data handling will be configured in accordance with applicable platform requirements and laws for the audiences to which the app is made available.
We may update this Privacy Policy as Universal Converter evolves, third-party services change, or legal and platform requirements change.
When this policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
